What is Nutritional Therapy?
Nutritional Therapy uses a science based approach towards the promotion of optimum wellbeing, health and peak performance. Nutritional therapists work with everyone, from healthy individuals to prevent disease or improve their diet and wellbeing, or with an individual who has health concerns to minimise their symptoms and to try uncover any contributing factors.
Registered Nutritional Therapists assess and identify potential nutritional imbalances by assessing the individual as a whole rather than just looking at their symptoms or disease. A full systems review will be done as well as a complete medical history taken to ascertain any triggers or drivers that are preventing you from feeling your best!
Nutritional Therapy is recognised as a complementary medicine and I will often work alongside orthodox medicine to help provide you with the best result.
As everyone is individual a personalised nutrition and lifestyle programme is created based on your specific goals and needs.
Nutritional Therapy uses whole foods as its baseline to help correct any nutritional deficiencies or imbalances.
Functional testing is also often used by Nutritional Therapists only if necessary as it often gets to the root cause of the problem quicker which allows for a more targeted approach.
I look forward to working with you and supporting you on your journey to wellbeing.
